Under the guidance of the Manager, Undergraduate Programs, the incumbent will work in a highly collegial, team environment. The incumbent provides administrative support for experiential learning initiatives for the Faculty including Sprott Competes. This includes, but is not limited to database management, scheduling, program promotion, student administration and placement support, as well as supporting the creation of processes for evaluating potential partner organization, tracking projects, and overall impact assessment. This position will support the administrative functions of the School's employability passport.
Qualifications:
The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:
The ability to effectively use programs in the MS Office Suites and on social media platforms;
The ability to adapt to a changing electronic environment;
Knowledge of the School and University's structure, procedures, policies and regulations;
Excellent organizational and administrative skills; must have the ability to organize work effectively in a fast-paced office environment, set priorities and meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Must have the ability to professionally represent the School with discretion, tact and diplomacy and deal effectively with faculty members/contract instructors, students, staff and public;
Must have demonstrated experience working in a highly-collegial, team environment;
Must have demonstrated excellence in customer service including experience working in a public service area;
It is imperative that the incumbent have the ability to plan, organize, and coordinate in a
multi- faceted environment as well as the ability to work with students in a team environment.
Education and Experience:
The above is normally acquired through the completion of:
University degree, or an acceptable equivalent
Minimum one (1) year work experience in the field of post-secondary education administration or an equivalent
