Job Description

Reporting to the Mine Exploration Coordinator, you will be part of the Geology Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle\xe2\x80\x99s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

\xc2\xb7 Manage tasks and projects as assigned to the position by the Mine Exploration Geology Coordinator;

\xc2\xb7 Assist with the management of the exploration and conversion drilling program; including drill hole planning, ensure priorities and targets are reached, logging drill core;

\xc2\xb7 Review 3d models for planning purposes;

\xc2\xb7 Ensure daily follow-up of drilling activities;

\xc2\xb7 Assist in lining up the workdays of the drilling crew;

\xc2\xb7 Assist with the exploration geology activities such that files, maps, and records are accurate and up to date and in a timely manners;

\xc2\xb7 Participate in the daily, weekly, and monthly planning meetings with the drilling contractor.

Qualifications

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Geology or Geological Engineering;

\xc2\xb7 Qualifications to register with NAPEG is required;

\xc2\xb7 Minimum 2 years of experience in geology is an asset;

\xc2\xb7 Experience in narrow vein gold deposit is an asset;

\xc2\xb7 Underground Mining Modules or equivalent is an asset;

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Datamine, Deswik, and DHLogger softwares is considered an asset;

\xc2\xb7 Leadership, Autonomy, and Team Spirit;

\xc2\xb7 Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Your Work Schedule:

Note that the official working language at Meliadine is English.

\xc2\xb7 Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;

\xc2\xb7 Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
