Summary
We are currently seeking motivated and detail-oriented people to join our Exploration Department at Bralorne Gold Mines. These positions offer a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic mining environment while contributing to meaningful exploration activities.
Responsibilities
Measure and collect core recovery and RQD (Rock Quality Designation) data
Conduct fracture counts and measure depth intervals
Piece together broken drill core and draw orientation lines
Move and organize core boxes in core shacks and storage areas
Cut core using a diamond blade saw according to sampling protocol
Clean and maintain core logging and sampling areas
Assist geologists and geological students as needed
Qualifications
Excellent basic math skills
Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy core boxes (up to ~50 lbs)
Comfortable working in outdoor and remote conditions
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills
Valid Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent)
Previous field or industry experience is an asset but not required
Must be comfortable working in a remote camp setting for extended periods
