Yonge Street Animal Hospital is a PRIVATELY OWNED veterinary hospital in Uptown Toronto. We are looking for an enthusiastic Client Service Representative to join our team. The ideal environment for someone who cares both pets and their humans.
Some of the duties include:
Provide customer service such as greet customers, answer questions, process incoming patients, and handle payments.
Answer phone calls, which may involve answering questions and screening and scheduling appointments.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email.
Update and review patient files.
Enter data into a computerized billing program. Familiarity with Evet Pulse (a plus).
Assist with pet supply purchases such as pet food, supplements, and grooming items.
Facilitating patient admissions and discharges.
Handling various administrative tasks.
Sharing love and affection with our four-legged patients.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE
1.Education and Experience
Veterinary Receptionist: 2 years (required).
Veterinary Industry: 2 years (required).
2.Skills
Possession of strong organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
Requires strong client service skills. Personal contacts are with pet owners affected by a variety of problems, visitors and other healthcare team members. Considerable tact and diplomacy is required. Must accurately relay owner's account of the medical complaint(s) of the pet(s) involved to the healthcare team member who will be involved in treating the patient(s).
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
Ability to foster positive work environment for colleagues and clients.
3.Knowledge
Knowledge of hospital procedures and operating instructions for making appointments, assembling patient medical records, recording test results, relaying information regarding patient's condition, and compiling and submitting data on patients treated.
Knowledge of the spelling and meaning of commonly used terminology of veterinary medicine to accurately record results of tests and file veterinary medical reports.
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications including MS Office (Word).

8 - 10 hour shift.
Day shift.
Monday to Friday.
Weekend availability.
