Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of freight handling, commercial driving, and the operation of heavy equipment. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of our logistics operations.

Duties

Operate trucks to transport freight to various locations, ensuring timely delivery. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and cargo details. Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and issues. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles as needed to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of freight handling protocols. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred. Experience operating forklifts is a plus. Basic knowledge of automotive repair to address minor vehicle issues on the road. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
