Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flooring installation and be proficient in laying tiles according to design specifications. This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Tile Setter will be responsible for ensuring high-quality installations that meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Install tiles in bathrooms and kitchens (floors, walls, and showers) Cut tiles precisely, including 45-degree angles Install large-format tiles with proper slope for shower floors Apply dry pack mortar beds with correct slope and leveling Install curbless (threshold-less) showers with proper waterproofing Work with Schluter systems (Kerdi, Ditra, etc.) Follow design plans and ensure tile layout is clean and accurate Prep surfaces: clean, level, and apply needed materials Cut tiles and apply caulking where necessary Work with other trades to coordinate installations Keep the job site clean and organized Check finished work for quality and fix any issues

Experience

Proven experience in tile laying or flooring installation is preferred. Familiarity with reading blueprints and understanding design layouts is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools related to tile setting and general construction tasks. Previous experience as a maintenance person or carpenter is a plus but not required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
