Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Personal Tax Practitioner to join our growing tax practice in Brantford, Ontario.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Canadian personal income tax preparation and compliance, with a proven ability to manage client relationships professionally and efficiently. Whether you are a CPA or an experienced non-designated tax professional, your technical knowledge, attention to detail, and communication skills will be key to success in this role.

Qualifications

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Canadian personal tax preparation.
CPA designation (in good standing) is an asset but not required.
Strong understanding of CRA policies and tax rules.
Demonstrated experience in client communication and relationship management.
Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality results.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Experience
Experience working in a public accounting or tax preparation firm.
Familiarity with self-employed income, rental properties, investment income, and foreign reporting (T1135).
Experience with small business clients or family-owned enterprises.
Knowledge of QuickBooks or bookkeeping systems is an asset.

Job Types: Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 3-4 months

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Work Location: In person
