About Swim With Me! Foundation

Swim With Me! Foundation is a Winnipeg-based registered charity committed to preventing drowning and promoting water safety by offering accessible, culturally sensitive swimming lessons to children, youth, and adults who otherwise wouldn't have access to swim instruction. Our mission is rooted in the belief that swimming and water safety are essential life skills, not privileges--and that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy Canada's waters safely. We serve at-risk populations including newcomers to Canada and families who face financial or social barriers to swim education. Our programs empower participants with confidence in the water and crucial life-saving skills that reduce the risk of drowning in pools, rivers, and lakes.

Position Overview

We are seeking

enthusiastic, qualified Swim Instructors

to deliver the

Swim to Survive

curriculum endorsed by the Lifesaving Society--an evidence-based survival swimming program that teaches participants the minimum skills needed to survive an unexpected fall into deep water.

Shifts/lessons will take place once a week, between 1pm - 2pm in 8 week blocks of time.

For the right candidate, permanent employment as a swim instructor at Aqua Essence Swim Academy would be considered.

Qualifications:

All applicants are required to have the following certifications:

Bronze Cross or National Lifeguarding certifications Swim for Life Instructor or LSI CPR Level C and Standard First Aid Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
