Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pizza Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in the food industry, particularly in pizza making. This role involves preparing high-quality pizzas, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in dietary departments, catering, or restaurant settings is highly desirable. The Pizza Chef will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring customer satisfaction through expert culinary skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and standards Assist with menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure quality and freshness Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and cooking appliances Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times Support the team during busy hours by providing excellent food service and catering assistance Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for restocking ingredients Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and sanitation throughout all kitchen activities

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within the food industry Experience with stretching, dressing, and cooking pizza is mandatory for consideration Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper handling practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members Prior restaurant or kitchen experience preferred but not required; training provided for the right candidate

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
