Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced team member to join our childcare team.
This role requires previous experience working directly with children who exhibit challenging behaviours, as well as hands-on experience in a classroom setting.
Applicants must also have a strong understanding ofAutism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
and be confident in implementing supportive, inclusive strategies in a group care environment.Key Responsibilities:
Support the emotional, social, and behavioural development of children in a group care setting Collaborate with classroom educators to implement individual support strategies Foster an inclusive environment that respects the diverse needs of all children Observe, document, and report on children's progress and behaviour Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and families Follow all center policies and licensing regulations Assist in daily routines, transitions, and classroom activities as needed
Required Experience & Knowledge:
Proven experience working with children with challenging behaviours
Minimum 1 year experience working in a licensed childcare classroom
Understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and inclusive practices
Ability to remain calm, patient, and solution-focused in a dynamic environment Strong communication and teamwork skillsJob Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
