We are proud to announce that we are expanding our Fleet. As a family owned and operated business servicing Norfolk and the surrounding areas for more than 60 years, Norfolk Disposal Services Limited is offering full-time driving opportunities for the Experienced Driver!

THE POSITION:

We're looking for Experienced Drivers with a DZ license (minimum of 3 years) for Curbside Garbage collection on local routes. This is a one person - no Pitchperson provided position.

The work schedule is Monday - Friday (with the occasional Saturdays due to statutory holidays) starting at 6:00 am until the route(s) are completed (estimated 8 hours).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate a DZ vehicle for residential curbside collection of garbage and recycling, ensuring compliance with all traffic and safety regulations. Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of waste and recyclable materials. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking air brake systems. Maintain accurate records of collections and report any issues to supervisors. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient route management and customer service.

REQUIREMENTS:

Have a minimum of 3 years current/demonstrated DZ driving experience. Provide a driver experience letter from previous employer. Must be punctual and have reliable attendance. Work Monday - Friday starting at 6:00 am with occasional Saturdays. Ability to repetitively lift 50lbs or more, step in/out of truck throughout shift. Work outdoors in all types of weather
