Job Description

PDR Contracting is seeking a reliable and experienced DZ Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials, and equipment safely and efficiently, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This position involves both local and out-of-town work, with opportunities to operate a variety of heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including tri-axle dump trucks, to transport freight and materials to designated locations. Perform cargo securement in compliance with regulations (training provided if required). Operate roll-off trucks as required (training provided if required). Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating condition. Maintain accurate delivery records, including mileage, fuel usage, and incident reports. Collaborate with warehouse and site staff to ensure efficient loading and dispatch. Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed for loading/unloading tasks. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies while driving. Perform basic automotive maintenance when necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements

Valid DZ driver's license with a clean driver's abstract. Proven experience operating tri-axle dump trucks. Experience with 18-speed transmissions. Experience with roll-off trucks and cargo securement is an asset but not required (training provided). Forklift certification preferred, but training available for the right candidate. Ability and willingness to work out of town when required. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and safety awareness.
