Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive

Cross-Border Dispatcher

to coordinate and manage the movement of freight across Canada-US borders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of transportation logistics, customs processes, and excellent communication skills to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and monitor cross-border shipments between Canada and the US Communicate with drivers, brokers, and customers to provide accurate load and delivery information Ensure compliance with all cross-border regulations, customs requirements, and documentation Assign and dispatch loads to company drivers and/or owner-operators Monitor and track shipments using dispatch software and GPS systems Respond to driver issues, delays, or emergencies and provide timely solutions Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, logs, and trip reports Collaborate with other departments to ensure excellent customer service and on-time delivery

Qualifications:

Previous dispatch experience in cross-border trucking (1-3 years preferred) Knowledge of US and Canadian transportation regulations, customs, and border crossing procedures Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Proficient in dispatch software (e.g., Load link, DAT and AFM) and Microsoft Office Availability for flexible scheduling, including after-hours as needed
