with a strong background in

Mexican cuisine

to join our culinary team. With positions available in

Bridgewater, Lunenburg, and Halifax

, we are looking for individuals who are

willing and able to relocate within the province of Nova Scotia

Key Responsibilities:



Plan and coordinate special events, banquets, and buffets Design menus and accurately estimate food requirements and costs Prepare and cook a wide variety of meals, including complete dishes and individual items Prepare traditional and contemporary

Mexican dishes

with authenticity and consistency Accommodate special dietary needs by preparing meals for customers with food allergies or intolerances Collaborate with dietitians to prepare special meals for patients as needed Requisition food ingredients and kitchen supplies as necessary Maintain inventory and detailed records of food, supplies, and equipment Ensure cleanliness and compliance in all kitchen and food service areas Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper food preparation and handling techniques Supervise daily activities of kitchen staff and helpers Monitor and maintain food safety and quality standards Order kitchen supplies and equipment efficiently Oversee the overall operation and organization of the kitchen

Qualifications:



Proven experience in preparing and cooking authentic Mexican cuisine is a must

Previous experience as a cook or kitchen supervisor Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Ability to work in a team-oriented and high-pressure environment Excellent organizational and leadership skills Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:

Toronto, ON (M9C): reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Education:

Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:

Cooking: 2 years (preferred)
Work Location: In person
