Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized

Experienced Construction Estimator

to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the Owner/Lead Estimator, this individual will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates, managing bid schedules, and ensuring efficient project setup. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of building systems, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for insulation and fireproofing projects in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Review drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to determine material and labor requirements. Conduct on-site measurements and assessments as required. Collaborate with the Owner/Lead Estimator to review pricing strategies, project scopes, and schedules. Manage and track bid opportunities, ensuring timely submission of proposals and tenders. Follow up on submitted bids and maintain professional communication with clients and contractors. Coordinate project setup, ensuring accurate information is passed to the installation team. Maintain organized project files and assist with administrative tasks related to estimating. Occasionally assist on-site to verify conditions or support installations when needed.

Qualifications

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in construction estimating (insulation or fireproofing experience is an asset). Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and building processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and estimating software (Planswift, Bluebeam, or similar). Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation.
