Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our small team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food production and kitchen management. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and service.
Hours : WED - SAT 10.30am until approx 8.30pm ( we are closed SUN -TUES)
$27 per hour plus share of gratuities
Responsibilities
Food production, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation. Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure a cohesive team environment. Maintain inventory control by tracking supplies and ordering necessary ingredients. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen. Implement effective shift management practices to optimize kitchen workflow. Develop new recipes and enhance existing ones to elevate the dining experience. Foster a positive work environment that encourages creativity and teamwork among staff.
Skills
Proven experience in the culinary field Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. Excellent knowledge of food production techniques, food service management, and kitchen management practices. Proficient in inventory management and control to minimize waste and ensure cost-effectiveness. Solid understanding of food handling procedures and safety regulations within the food industry. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and guests.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 - 40 per week
