EagleEye Bookkeeping is a growing bookkeeping firm located in downtown Kelowna. We are dedicated to providing exceptional service to small and medium-sized businesses. This position is ideal for someone with solid bookkeeping experience who can handle more complex client files and month-end and year-end processes with minimal supervision. We are currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in-office (no remote work).
Position Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper with experience in full-cycle bookkeeping, including month-end and year-end closing processes. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple client files and working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients across various industries
Prepare and post month-end and year-end closing entries
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense tracking
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports for management and client review
Prepare cash flow statements and assist clients with cash flow management and budgeting
Prepare working papers and trial balances for year-end review by senior accountants
Prepare T2 corporate tax returns and T1 personal tax returns
Perform financial analysis and review financial statements for errors, variances, or discrepancies
Process payroll and related remittances
Prepare GST, PST, WorkSafe BC
Manage and maintain accurate client records and documentation
Communicate directly with clients to collect information and resolve bookkeeping issues
Handle multiple client files simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
Qualifications:
Minimum 2-year diploma in Accounting (required)
Minimum 3 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience in a bookkeeping or accounting firm (required)
Minimum 3 year of QuickBooks Online experience (required)
Minimum 3 years of experience preparing year end working papers and adjusting journal entries (required)
Intermediate Excel skills (required)
Strong understanding of month-end and year-end procedures (required)
Knowledge of Canadian accounting standards and tax compliance (required)
Experience in preparing Corporate and Personal tax returns
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and client files efficiently
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong time management skills and the ability to meet multiple deadlines
Must be able to work in-office full-time (no remote work)
