Job Description


The award-winning Vancouver Convention Centre (VCC) is currently in search of an Exhibit Services Coordinator to join our team. This interesting role will report directly to the Manager, Exhibits. As part of the Venue Operations team, the Exhibit Services Coordinator will provide daily operations of exhibit services, as we work together to achieve our vision to be the global leader in outstanding venues and events.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Using your knowledge of exhibitor dynamics and logistics, you will evaluate exhibit floor plans and suggest modifications as well as provide information to VCC\xe2\x80\x99s exhibitors, internal and external service providers related to venue operations, event timing & location, shipping details, and parking.
  • You will assist exhibitors at the service desk during event hours (occasionally evenings and weekends).
  • You will review and process all exhibitor orders including electrical, plumbing, technology, security, housekeeping, banner rigging, and catering.
  • Using your conflict resolution skills, you will assess, resolve, and escalate exhibitor issues including complex booth requirements.
  • Using your strong interpersonal skills, you will collaborate with VCC staff and suppliers to ensure that exhibitor feedback is shared and that service requests are completed.
  • Your strong organizational skills will allow you to schedule service & safety vest desk personnel.
  • Using your technical skills, you will monitor VCC\xe2\x80\x98s website for content editing and online ordering through EBMS as well as maintain exhibitor forms and documents.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
  • You will have progressive experience in a customer service position, preferably in the events or hospitality industry.
  • Courses in Business Administration or Event Management is considered an asset.
  • You will do everything within your role to meet or exceed guest/client expectations.
  • You will have exceptional communications skills, as you\xe2\x80\x99ll be able to clearly express ideas, thoughts, and concepts verbally and in writing.
  • You must be able to maintain a high level of service excellence in an extremely fast-paced environment.
