The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety, and leading a team of kitchen staff. This position is perfect for someone with a strong background in food preparation and cooking who is eager to contribute to a dynamic restaurant environment

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. Ensure that all food is prepared according to established recipes and presentation standards. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings. Train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures, cooking techniques, and safety protocols. Monitor kitchen performance, ensuring timely service during peak hours.

Experience

Proven experience in a Sous Chef or similar role within the food industry. Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management and training. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food. Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
