Effective Corporate Security operations are essential to delivering simple, innovative and colleague-friendly services to enable and provide the required services to our customers. We seek an upbeat, energetic, and experienced executive security driver to be an active member of our corporate security team to provide safe and secure transportation for board and executive members as directed and required.

This role ensures that Aviva receives the right level of Executive Security Driver services while remaining engaged with the Corporate Security team. This ensures a safe and secure environment for our Executives while transportation is provided.

Judgement is needed to know when to engage and pull on the services of other teams and group functions while keeping a balance between customer service and security best practices in mind.

When transportation services are not required, this position will become an extension of the Corporate Security Team, assisting with security measures for events, intelligence, and risk report writing.

This is a newly developed position, and therefore, ongoing role-building, monitoring of activities, and development will be very active throughout the year.

What you\'ll do:

Responsible for the safe operation, usage and maintenance of our executive fleet.

Report any problems identified with the vehicles and ensure that all licenses and documents relating to the vehicles are renewed on time as required. Ensure documents are always on hand.

Responsible for completing driver activity monthly reports, vehicle check reports, and communications with our Corporate Security Control Room with daily activities.

Upkeep the Certified First Aid/CPR while completing the vehicle First Aid bag check.

Provide excellent Customer Service while focusing on employee safety and security.

Handling risk within Operations delivery.

Monitor travel activity and country incidents that could impact Aviva\'s travel safety.

Deliver travel safety and security communications via telephone, smart devices, and applications.

Advise the Corporate Security team regarding incidents during travel and have a four-step process for all scheduled pickups/drop-offs.

Work with the CEO\'s Executive Assistant on all bookings and calendar invites.

Provide updates to the Corporate Security Management team on awareness and schedule.

Ensure that a clean vehicle is always used for each traveler.

Assist with luggage placement in the vehicle.

Work with the CSC Team to complete Risk Assessments of events and know the routes being taken.

Each year or upon request, provide driver abstracts to Aviva management.

Take personal responsibility to achieve a year-on-year improvement in the ownership and understanding of risks, the strength of controls, customer outcomes and the quality of everyday decisions.

Positive relationships with consultants and third parties as required to support events.

Proactive engagement with relevant industry peer groups and forums, creating opportunities for idea generation and innovation.

Connect with event leads to ensure a strong communication of the facilities at hand.

Connect with hotels and airport travel pickup stations to ensure awareness of our services.

Must be available 7 days a week and can work various hours on demand. This includes splitting a workday to pick up executives at different times, hours, and weekends.

What you\'ll bring:

Ability to demonstrate excellent observation skills. Be focused, alert, and able to quickly identify changes in the surroundings when driving and determine whether it requires rerouting.

Highly reliable, providing line manager with confidence that when assigned a task, it will get done in a timely manner with a high quality of work.

Ability to work as part of a team, receive and follow instructions and communicate effectively

Understand how to perform tasks assigned in accordance with standard operating procedures and/or instructions

Build relationships with external law enforcement agencies

Technology savvy with iPhone, iPad, laptop, and information findings on social media platforms

A passion to grow, succeed and provide the best experience for our team

Be ready for incident responses or driving needs if required

Flexible in your approach to working hours, days of the week, and projects

Have a valid driver\'s license and keep up to date with renewals

Have a clean driver abstract and no criminal convictions

Provide 5+ years of experience related to executive protection and/or executive driver role in the past

Consistent track record of successful event delivery and travel management

Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiating skills

Ability to effectively interact with clients and team members at all levels

Can demonstrate Customer-first experience

An intimate knowledge of the GTA Roads, is an asset
