Contract Position - 1 year, with potential to become permanent Executive Sales Assistant to the President Full Time, 40 hours per week; in-office (Downtown Vancouver) Summary of Role Use your knowledge and experience in the financial services industry to provide Executive sales and marketing support to the President. Work closely with various team members to achieve company objectives for insurance and investment sales and client servicing. Key Responsibilities Executive Support \xc2\xb7 Provide daily support to the President, including administrative tasks, correspondence, calendar management, scheduling of appointments, attending meetings, and following up on actionable items;

  • Provide daily support and follow-up for corporate and strategic planning objectives and action items identified by the President and Vice President;
  • Proactively complete assigned tasks and anticipate up-coming needs, and work hard to coordinate tasks within specific timelines;
  • Assist in preparation for meetings including organizing agendas, preparing meeting room, notifications, compiling documents and preparing packages
  • Attend meetings and/or prepare post-meeting notes and send communications for actionable items
  • Compose, review, edit and follow through on internal and external communications;
Insurance & Investments - Sales & Client Service Support
  • Write investment-specific strategic and tactical content for client proposals and recommendation documents.
  • Write short articles focusing on various financial planning and product topics
  • Preparation of insurance quotes
  • Design and prepare insurance and investment presentations, spreadsheets, charts and forms as needed;
  • Coordinate completion of life, critical illness, disability insurance applications
  • Coordinate completion of investment applications
  • Coordinate with team members on new business and keep President well-informed
  • Follow up with clients in an appropriate and effective manner
Operational & Marketing Support:
  • Maintain and manage CRM; produce reports as required
  • Assist with organization and execution of marketing activities such as direct mail campaigns, mass email communications and other related activities;
  • Coordinate with team on organization of events and special occasions including planning meetings, client education and appreciation events and holiday events.
Interpersonal Development
  • Strong writing and research skills
  • Knowing key contacts and applying appropriate protocols when communicating with these key persons
  • Developing and ensuring relationships with wholesalers, case coordinators, and underwriters are maintained on a professional and effective basis
  • Contribute to organizational teamwork by:

Experience & Education Requirements/ Preferences
  • 3+ years experience in financial services (insurance and investment) industry required
  • Front-line or inside-selling experience is an asset.
  • Understanding and knowledge of insurance and investment products and features, and experience working hands-on with a range of providers is required
  • Licensed through Insurance Council of BC with LLQ
  • Industry credentials are an asset
  • Completed University degree or industry-related diploma
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point etc.)
  • Technologically savvy, with ability to use and learn various software and applications as required.
