About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team in Canada.

This is a full-time, in-person position (37.5 hours per week) based at our company's designated office. The SDR will focus on identifying new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with educational institutions and clinics, and supporting the sales team with qualified leads.

The SDR will play a crucial role in expanding Playmove's presence in Canada by engaging prospects, presenting our solutions, and preparing the ground for successful customer onboarding.

Responsibilities

Research and identify new sales opportunities, with a focus on schools, clinics, and therapy centers. Manage both inbound and outbound leads, ensuring timely responses and proactive outreach. Conduct outbound calls and emails to initiate contact with prospects. Qualify leads through discovery calls and structured needs assessments. Book meetings and demos for the sales team, ensuring smooth handoff of qualified leads. Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align campaigns and optimize outreach strategies. Maintain accurate and updated records of all activities in the CRM system. Follow up with prospects consistently throughout the sales cycle, including after events, webinars, and marketing campaigns. Support the sales team in preparing presentations and proposals for clients. Provide market feedback to sales and marketing to improve targeting and engagement strategies.
Requirements

Fluent in English (spoken and written), with strong professional communication skills. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or related field (or currently enrolled in a program). Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or business development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with CRM platforms and productivity tools (Google Workspace, MS Office). Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working remotely with limited supervision. Experience in EdTech, SaaS, or education sector is considered an asset.
Compensation & Benefits

Annual Salary:

CAD $60,000 (CAD $5,000 per month), paid monthly via payroll and subject to statutory deductions (CPP, EI, and income tax).

Vacation & Leaves:

Entitled to two (2) weeks of paid vacation per year, as well as all applicable public holidays and leaves of absence in accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA) and Company policy.

Paid Sick Leave:

Eligible for three (3) paid sick days per calendar year, after two (2) consecutive weeks of employment, in compliance with the ESA. Sick days reset every January 1 and do not carry over.

Overtime / Time Off in Lieu:

Overtime is defined as hours worked beyond 44 hours per week, compensated at 1.5x the regular hourly rate, or, at the Company's discretion and with the Employee's agreement, through equivalent paid time off (Time Off in Lieu) within the period permitted under the ESA. All overtime must receive prior management approval.

Benefits:

Eligible to participate in the Company-sponsored benefits program (health, dental, and others) once implemented, in accordance with plan terms and eligibility requirements.

Work Location:

Full-time, in-person position (37,5 hours per week). The Employee will initially perform duties at the Company's current designated location and will transition to the new Playmove GTA office by early December 2025, in accordance with the Company's Work Location Policy. Remote work may be permitted only under exceptional circumstances and with prior written approval from management.
Work Hours & Location

Standard Workweek:

37.5 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or as reasonably required by the role.

Meal Period:

Employees are entitled to a 30-minute unpaid meal break beginning at 12:00 p.m., in accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA)

Work Location:

This is a full-time, in-person position. The Employee will initially perform duties at the Company's current designated location and will transition to the new Playmove GTA office by early December 2025, in accordance with the Company's Work Location Policy.

Remote Work:

Remote work may be permitted only under exceptional circumstances and requires prior written approval from management. When authorized, the Employee must maintain a safe and ergonomically appropriate workspace and comply with all Company policies regarding confidentiality, privacy, and health and safety.

Playmove maintains a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, and workplace violence, consistent with the Ontario Human Rights Code and the OHSA.

Employment is subject to Playmove's disciplinary and termination policies, administered in accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA).

All Company policies are reviewed and updated periodically. Employees will be notified of any material changes as required by law.
