The Rideau St Lawrence Family Health Team (RSLFHT), established in 2020, is a unique hybrid service delivery model of multi-disciplinary inter professional healthcare professionals located in Winchester ,ON. The RSLFHT supports 4- Family Health Organizations, 33 primary care physician practices, through the offering of clinical support services focusing on building healthy communities. The RSLFHT supports nine (9) clinical sites spanning South Dundas, South Stormont, North Stormont, North Dundas, Osgoode and Russel communities. The RSLFHT is funded by the Ministry of Health, providing collaborative and efficient resources to support high-quality care and strong stewardship of resources.
Position Summary:
Reporting to a Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) is the senior leader responsible for the effective management and strategic oversight of all administrative, operational, and business functions of the Family Health Team. The ED supports the integration of FHT staff in 9 clinic operations, leading a multidisciplinary team, overseeing finances, contracts, and a facility, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ED is responsible for strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership, direction and advice and reporting to the FHT resources and assets.
Lead all administrative operations to support clinical care delivery and corporate business management.
Oversee human resources, IT systems, payroll, budgeting, and financial controls
Manage legal, contractual, and regulatory compliance, including privacy and health & safety
Liaise and negotiate with contractors, vendors, legal counsel, financial institutions, corporate accountants and other professional advisors
Responsible for all recruitment, onboarding, and retention of clinical support and administrative staff
Oversee facilities management, capital planning, and infrastructure projects
Foster strong relationships with external stakeholders, including Ministry of Health, Ontario Health, Great River OHT, local hospitals, primary care partners, and municipal partners
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in business, health administration, or related field
(Master's preferred)
Proven experience in a senior leadership or executive management role
Demonstrated skills in finance, budgeting, and the use of Excel and other
business tools
Strong knowledge of the Canada Health Act, Ontario labour laws, privacy, OHSA,
and accessibility legislation
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
Experience working in a healthcare, clinical, or regulated environment
Experience in a non-profit organization is an asset
Ability to work in an active and progressive, multi-stakeholder environment with
professionalism and discretion
