Reporting to the Board of Directors, the experienced, inspiring, strategic, community focused leader will provide visionary leadership and direction to the Merrymount Family Support and Crisis Centre\xe2\x80\x99s staff team. As the face of Merrymount Family Support and Crisis Centre, the Executive Director will represent the organization at various Ministry (Provincial and Federal) tables while taking a leadership role in social services and health-care discussions. In addition, the Executive Director will collaborate closely with the Director of Philanthropy. The integrity-based candidate will be involved in both internal and external engagement in identifying, cultivating, and soliciting potential benefactors to support Merrymount Family Support and Crisis Centre\'s mission and ensuring the achievement of projected Not-For-Profit philanthropic/fundraising goals through systematic planning and control processes.

The Integrity focused Executive Director will oversee key team members (union and non-union), including the Director of Finance, Program Managers, Director of Philanthropy, Human Resources Generalist, and Supervised Access Program Coordinators. The passionate director will also effectively collaborate with community partners, such as other agencies, school boards, and professional service providers, to develop protocols for service integration. In addition, building and maintaining positive, cooperative relationships with the community, including benefactors, funders, social service agencies, government officials, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders, is essential to support the Centre\xe2\x80\x99s overall program and financial success. The dedicated Executive Director will also play a crucial role in ensuring the organization has a skilled and qualified workforce aligned with Merrymount Family Support and Crisis Centre\'s Strategic Plan.

To excel in this role, the Executive Director should possess the following qualifications:

  • A postgraduate degree in Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Public Administration, business, or a related field is an asset.
  • Certification with the Canadian College of Health Leaders is an asset.
  • Significant experience as a senior leader in a Not-For-Profit organization.
  • A proven track record of success in financial and operational oversight, relationship-building, team growth, and effective collaboration with a Board of Directors.
  • Experience in a Not-For-Profit with a philanthropy/fundraising mandate.
  • Experience working in the children\xe2\x80\x99s mental health field is an asset.
The successful candidate will be recognized for their exemplary communication skills, both internally and externally, effectively advocating for Merrymount Family Support and Crisis Centre. They should excel at engaging stakeholders and speaking publicly to the community, backed by a deep understanding of corporate governance and management best practices. This dedicated leader will also possess the ability to anticipate future needs strategically, forge enriching partnerships with related organizations, and champion community advocacy. Strong analytical, problem-solving, change management, organizational, and leadership skills and the ability to foster an organization responsive to diversity, equity, and inclusion are highly valued qualities.
