As the Executive Director of Open Door Centre, you'll be at the heart of our mission, delivering trauma-informed support, unplanned pregnancy guidance, and addiction recovery programs in a safe, inclusive environment. You'll grow and lead a team of dedicated supportive counselors and advocates, manage essential community partnerships, and expand our reach to ensure we continue offering vital services and options to those who need them most.

In this pivotal role, you'll draw on your strategic vision and interpersonal skills to create impactful programs that serve survivors of sex trafficking, provide options counseling, and support individuals facing addiction challenges. You'll build relationships with volunteers, partners, and donors, guiding fundraising efforts and fostering a culture of philanthropy to secure sustainable growth. Working with the board for approval, you'll work independently to develop personalized engagement strategies, implement strategic plans, and serve as a public advocate for our mission.

Key responsibilities include

:

Leading volunteer engagement and fostering a Christ Centred evangelistic team culture. Fostering a culture of philanthropy, strengthening relationships with current and new stakeholders. Managing and stewarding relationships with high-impact volunteers, supporters, and donors. Developing and implementing development plans, identifying prospects, and securing major partnerships. Overseeing public relations and marketing efforts to enhance visibility and strengthen partnerships. Leading, supporting and empowering a dedicated team of supportive counsellors and ensuring adherence to our culture. Ensuring financial stability by preparing budgets, maintaining balanced finances, and driving fund development initiatives. Overseeing program development to support the evolving needs of the community. Develops and implements strategic plans, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and core values. Apprises the board of new and ongoing staffing, operational and funding initiatives, providing regular updates, policy recommendations, and ensuring effective execution of board-approved initiatives. Must be willing to sign the Core Documents of Open Door Centre. Must hold to the board policies, centre policies and by-laws of Open Door Centre.
This role is ideal for someone who brings a mix of strategic vision, relational expertise, and a strong commitment to excellence.

What You Should Bring to Our Mission



A growing relationship with Christ and the ability to communicate the gospel effectively Strong interpersonal skills to connect deeply with staff, volunteers, and partners A minimum of 7 years of senior-level leadership experience in fund development, business development, or a related area Proven experience in supportive counseling in faith-based and/or mission-focused environments, with knowledge of fundraising management A talent for strategic planning, fiscal management, and cultivating influential relationships Confidence in public speaking and the ability to represent Open Door Centre's mission with clarity Dedication to fostering a supportive and faith-driven culture among staff and volunteers
