We\'re looking for a mission-driven Executive Director, Manitoba & Saskatchewan who is passionate about creating more accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada where people with low vision have unlimited opportunities and can experience life free from barriers and discrimination.

Your Impact at CNIB

  • Develop a strategic approach, framework and tactical advocacy plan for the region including leading stakeholder relations activities such as strategic planning, lobbying activities, relationship building, outreach with public and private entities (including consumer groups) and national advocacy representation.
  • Lead and coach the provincial programs and operations teams to achieve the objectives in CNIB\'s Strategic Plan.
  • Ensure that contractual obligations for federal/provincial or other agency-funded projects are met and that program reports, as required, are prepared and submitted to meet contractual deadlines.
  • Lead Senior Leadership Volunteers and develop a workplan to support provincial and national efforts to achieve strategic goals.
  • Formulate and recommend budgetary and short- and long-term Provincial operating objectives.
  • Play a leadership role with the provincial Strategic Leadership Council
  • Lead and coach the performance of direct and indirect reports, including volunteers, through CNIB\'s Continuous Performance Management (CPM) program.
Requirements:

Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Proven government relations and philanthropy experience.
  • Proven track record in a senior management role.
  • Leadership capability for creating an empowered team of managers, staff and volunteers who are aligned with organization goals.
  • Not-for-profit and senior volunteer engagement experience (ideally gained through committee or board oversight).
  • Demonstrated success in program development and delivery, stakeholder and community relations, and human resources management.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 software.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management programs such as Salesforce an asset.
  • Passion for CNIB\'s mission and objectives.
  • Sound stakeholder relations skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use multiple means of communication to effect change, achieve results and build a team.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions and resolve issues showing good judgment in a timely manner.
  • Sound business acumen including budget, performance management, change management and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.
  • Experience with vision loss or working with individuals with vision loss an asset.
  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
