Reporting to the President and Board of Directors and in conjunction with the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the and successful delivery of numerous programs and Human Resources initiatives which align with the strategic plan and vision. You will drive innovation and process improvement, ensuring the successful accomplishment of goals and objectives. You\'re a confident and results-focused leader who is committed to building a high-performing culture. You think expansively and have a talent for combining novel ideas in unique ways to generate innovative solutions.

Requirements

How you will make an impact in this role:

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase Diversity & Inclusion within the organization.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to implement strategies for employee engagement and retention. workforce and succession planning, performance management and policy interpretation.
  • Manage performance appraisal process and assist with goal development. Collaborate on suggestions for individual training that will enhance growth and development.
  • Participate in coaching, counselling and advising management and staff to ensure resolution of employment related matters resulting from the administration of the Collective Agreement.
  • Manage Union relations and assist with the collective bargaining process.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and provide reports that support decision making in specified areas.
  • Create and update policies, procedures, and guidelines as needed.
  • Function as primary liaison to internal and Board of Directors.
Requirements for the role:
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Human Resources or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive Human Resources experience
  • Minimum 7 years management experience, including full operational business oversight
  • Experience working in Union environment, including CBA negotiations
  • Knowledge and experience with change management
  • Experience dealing with complex Employee Relations and Human Rights matters
  • Professional designation Strongly preferred, CPHR or SHRM-CP
Equivalent combinations of experience and education will be considered
  • Implement new and enhance existing staff recognition and reward programs and
  • Oversee the entire talent strategy for current and future challenges.
  • Manage, develop and grow a team of Adminsirtative professionals.
  • Partner advise on strategic direction of the organization and all people related initiatives of the membership.
  • Oversight of all facilities maintenance and management including annual budget and forecasting.
