Job Summary


We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation while fostering a positive work environment.

The ideal candidate is comfortable with technology, can lead and motivate a team, is capable of managing budgets and costs relating to food and labour, and is ready for an exciting busy winter ahead at The Den!

Duties



Supervise and hire kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation in compliance with health regulations. Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs to maximize profitability. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Oversee the preparation of all dishes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality. Implement new cooking techniques and equipment to enhance kitchen efficiency. Conduct regular performance evaluations of kitchen staff to promote professional growth. Perform menu testing and development of new menu items.

Skills



Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising a diverse culinary team. Proficient in food preparation techniques and knowledge of various cuisines. Solid understanding of food service operations within the hospitality industry. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively. Experience in restaurant settings with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
