Executive Chef

Prince Rupert, BC, CA, Canada

Job Description

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at the Crest Hotel in Prince Rupert. This dynamic role is responsible for overseeing all food operations, including the famous Waterfront restaurant, Charley's Lounge, and the Convention Centre, ensuring a high-quality dining experience for all our guests.

Responsibilities for this role are extensive, and as such, we require at least 5-15 years of experience in event coordination or management, ideally within a hospitality setting, as well as extensive experience in the food and beverage industry, specifically catering for large groups. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for developing and executing a diverse and high-quality menu that aligns with guest preferences and industry trends as well as overseeing food preparation, presentation, and quality standards, so this experience is vital.

Because Executive Chef is also responsible for leading, training, and inspiring a team of culinary professionals to maintain excellence and efficiency, we also require strong leadership experience, including in managing teams and collaborating with multiple departments.

Exceptional communication and organization skills are critical as well as an ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once, even in high-stress and fast-paced environments, since this role includes collaborating with management on special events, promotions, and guest experiences as well as managing vendor relations alongside other administrative tasks, including budgeting, cost control, and inventory management. Extensive knowledge of health and safety and sanitation regulations is also critical since this role includes ensuring compliance with all of them.

This is a full-time position with a 40 hour work week and comes with a $100,000 yearly salary. The position is based out of Prince Rupert, BC, and is entirely on-location.

If you're a creative, experienced chef looking, who is dedicated to elevating guest experience, we would love to have you join our team at the Crest Hotel. You can apply for this position through the application form on this page.
