Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Operations
Oversee all kitchen operations to ensure food is prepared quickly and to quality standards.
Monitor prep and line operations to reduce delays and maximize throughput during peak hours.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Team Leadership, Recruitment & Training
Recruit, train, and supervise all kitchen staff including sous chefs, line cooks, prep cooks and dishwashers.
Responsible for scheduling, with the expectation of managing labour costs according to projected revenues and budgets.
Consistently lead pre-service briefings and post-service reviews to improve performance.
Foster a positive and disciplined kitchen culture with strong communication and collaboration.
Menu Collaboration & Development
Collaborate with Ownership on new menu offerings that align with World Bier Haus's concept and customer expectations.
Create innovative, yet cost strategic dishes that are operationally feasible for high-volume execution while maintaining quality and presentation.
Vendor Management, Purchasing & Cost Control
Build and maintain strong relationships with various food vendors.
Monitor inventory levels and order accordingly while adhering to purchasing budgets.
Manage food cost percentages and minimize spoilage.
Conduct quality audits on all deliveries of incoming product.
Administrative & Strategic Responsibilities
Maintain kitchen records, including food safety logs, waste tracking, prep and par charts, purchasing journals, recipe guides, and plating manuals.
Participate in budget planning and contribute to profitability strategies.
Work with General Manager and Ownership to align kitchen performance with business goals.
Qualification Requirements
3+ Years' experience in an Executive Chef role is required
Advanced knowledge of industry best practices
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen management
Practiced leadership skills in a hospitality environment
Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations
Experience handling employee issues, concerns, and conflicts and consistently completing performance management procedures including performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and terminations
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift 50lbs
Comfortable using Google (G Suite) and Microsoft Office Suite
Valid Food Safety Certification

Pay: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
