EXECUTIVE ASSOCIATE

PRESIDENT & CEO OFFICE

The Executive Associate provides the full range of business administration and support to the Office of the President and CEO as required. This position will require excellent organizational skills, decision-making capabilities, and relationship building skills with a range of stakeholders including the Executive team, staff, faculty, students, board members, and community members. This position requires a high level of learning agility, initiative, and interpersonal skills.

The position will play a key role in building and sustaining internal and external relationships, as this position requires frequent and collaborative interaction with the Executive Team, external partners, and senior management leaders across the college.

HOW YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Provide a full range of business administration and coordination to the President and CEO and Chief of Staff, Director of Strategy.
  • Anticipate the President's needs in meeting scheduling and other commitments.
  • Actions request for briefings, speeches, and other background documents, and reviews them from a quality assurance perspective prior to facilitating approval from the Chief of Staff and President and CEO.
  • Manage the President's calendar and follows up on action items, adjusting priorities and coordinating appointments with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organize administrative process workflows such as the President's vacation, travel, expense claims, and procurement.
  • Organize events and administration of meetings including agendas and minutes.
  • Review and analyzes reports, studies, and position papers and prepares draft briefing notes for the Chief of Staff.
  • Keep the Chief of Staff informed of issues or emerging trends.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for various committees.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • A diploma, preferably in administration or business; Bachelor's degree considered an asset.
  • 10+ years' related executive administrative experience preferably within an Executive office.
  • We will consider combination of education and related experiences.

  • A high level of sound and independent judgement, reasoning, discretion, and business acumen.
  • Positive attitude, strong team player, and a high degree of personal professionalism.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to synthesize information quickly and exercise judgement in changing and politically sensitive situations.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, financial management, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
SALARY: $58,681 - $75,225 reflective of what you bring AKA your education and experience. This is a full-time permanent position with immediate access to our great pension and benefits program.
