About Yukon First Nations Wildfire: Yukon First Nations Wildfire (YFNW) is a partnership of Yukon First Nations Stakeholders offering emergency management and training services. We train, manage and employ all-hazard response crews who provide wildland firefighting, flood response and mitigation services to communities in the Yukon. We also offer a wide variety of emergency management training and capacity development services. YFNW is committed to incorporating traditional knowledge and supporting the growth of Yukon\xe2\x80\x99s future leaders in consultation with community elders. We are currently expanding our services in the realms of mitigation, prevention, preparedness, and recovery to reflect the growing need in Yukon communities for multi-faceted emergency personnel and a wide variety of emergency management services. About the Position: The Executive Assistant will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will be responsible for providing administrative support to the CEO and other Executive staff members. You will ensure calendars are properly managed and maintained including events, special dates, meetings, due dates, and support the executive staff to ensure that responsibilities are being met in a timely fashion. This position is primarily located in an office environment but will require travel from time to time. The incumbent may be required to work evenings or weekends from time to time to ensure expectations are met, or to attend meetings or events afterhours. Some field work may be required. Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing administrative support to the CEO and Executive staff members.
Ensure calendars are properly managed and maintained including events, special dates, meetings, due dates, and support the executive staff to ensure that responsibilities are being met in a timely fashion.
Actively track and support due dates for special projects and ensure executive staff are capable of meeting deadlines to the best of your ability.
Generally, oversee the organization of the office and ensure office supplies are adequately stocked.
Ensure social media and the company website are regularly updated.
Assist the CEO with board packages and organizing documents for presentations as required.
Work collaboratively with all staff to ensure all necessary duties are being met.
Assist with the administrative aspects of event planning and coordination including but not limited to Beat the Heat and the Warrior program.
Provide creative solutions and recommendations to every day problems encountered that may help streamline company activities or processes.
Generally, organize paper documents and electronic files.
Other duties as required.
Essential Function: Ensure the CEO and other Executive staff members are adequately supported in all administrative and organizational functions including but not limited to:
Task management.
Calendar management.
Schedule maintenance.
Preparation of documents as required.
General administrative support as required.

Qualifications Skills and Experience:
Yukon First Nations and Yukon\'s wildfire industry.
Time management and planning practices.
Executive level support and/or assistance
Research and analysis.
Organizational and administrative practices and procedures.
Operating office equipment and general software programs.
Events planning and coordinating.
Social media and website management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks on strong deadlines.
Ability to take initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team Interpersonal skills.
Ability to interact and work effectively with staff.
