Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual to perform as the Executive Assistant to the Senior Directors on the Eastern Urban\'s Executive Leadership team.

The Executive Assistant is the SD\'s Office Manager and performs a variety of administrative responsibilities such as managing the SDs schedules, appointments, and meetings; coordinates and organizes travel, events and activities; reviews and organizes budgetary resources and follow ups as appropriate; receives, screens and responds to inquiries/complaints independently. Provides secretarial support to senior level committees, other members of the executive team and their assistants as necessary; and manages confidential files and other sensitive information. Coordinates and acts as a resource for provincial, regional, and internal committees including the various programs and special groups.

Job Qualifications
Education
Completion of a recognized/approved three-year Business Management Program or a related Degree. Consideration will also be given to candidates having a two-year office administration program and considerable experience.
Courses and proficiency in MS Office Products, Internet and various other computer applications are required.

Experience
A minimum of five years\' experience within the last seven in a progressively responsible administrative role; preferably at the Executive Level is required.
Considerable experience meeting deadlines, while maintaining a high level of productivity, accuracy and efficiency.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
Ability to multi-task and be a critical thinker.
Ability to handle complex projects, under pressure and respond appropriately within deadlines.
A skilled typing speed of 45 wpm is required. A typing test may be administered by the Department of Human Resources.

Other
A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
