Job Description

DUTIES

Reporting to the Vice President (VP) of Indigenous Initiatives and Reconciliation (IIR) is accountable for providing confidential administrative


support to the VP, IIR in a wide range of activities including tracking progress of IIR deliverables and related externally funded grants,


stakeholder relations, budgeting, preparation of correspondence/supporting materials, reporting, and supporting meetings. The incumbent


ensures the effective operation of the office of the VP, IIR by directing and maintaining the flow of work, coordinating the VP, IIR's schedule,


and facilitating communications with a broad range of stakeholders.




REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

o Diploma in business, management, office administration or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and


experience may be considered


Several years' experience at a senior administrative level, in an executive or professional office setting Advanced calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex, multi-stakeholder meetings Experience scheduling travel arrangements Experience working on projects of varying complexity Experience working effectively within a complex and fast-paced environment Knowledge and/or experience working with budgets Advanced oral and written communication skills including ability to compile, draft and/or edit documents that range in complexity Advanced skills in MS Office 365 Ability to utilize a variety of databases using current information technology Ability to manage sensitive information and maintain confidentiality Commitment to lifelong learning

ASSETS

o Understanding of project management fundamentals


Experience and/or knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures Ability to speak an Indigenous language
