What You'll Be Doing
Operating excavators and backhoes on
underground utility projects
- storm, sanitary, and watermain installations
Digging trenches safely around
existing utilities
and maintaining proper line and grade
Working hand-in-hand with the
pipe layer and foreman
to keep production moving efficiently
Preparing trenches with accurate depth and slope for bedding and pipe installation
Backfilling and compacting to spec after inspections
Maintaining your equipment and keeping your work area clean and safe
What You Bring
Proven experience on
civil underground utility projects
(municipal or private)
Skilled with both
excavators and backhoes
in deep trench, confined, and multi-utility environments
Strong understanding of
grades, trench safety, and shoring systems
Ability to
spot for utilities
, work safely around live lines, and support your crew when needed
A calm, steady approach -- even when the trench is tight or the day is long
Reliable transportation
Valid BC Driver's License with clean Driver's Abstract is a must
