We are currently seeking a

Backhoe Operator

to join our field team.

What You'll Do

You'll safely operate and maintain a Backhoe for operations on civil utility construction job sites. Your commitment to professionalism and safety will help ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a Backhoe according to company policies. Perform pre-trip inspections and report any maintenance issues. Keep assigned equipment clean and in good working condition. Assist crews on site when required (spotting, directing, labour support). Communicate effectively with dispatch, site supervisors, and crew members. Follow all site traffic management requirements. Full commitment and application of all WSBC regulations and company safety policies Precise and detailed excavation and trenching operations on active municipal roads with multiple existing above ground and underground utilities Must be able to fine grade with both the loader bucket and back bucket Must be proficient in front loader bucket 4-in1 functions Proficient in backfilling and ho-packing operations Asphalt road prep, curb and sidewalk prep Proficient in loading dump trucks with both the front-end loader bucket and back bucket Maintain and monitor Backhoe including daily grease and tire pressure and condition checks

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of backhoe experience Valid BC Drivers Lisence. Clean Driver's Abstract (required). Experience in civil construction operations specifically in Metro Vancouver. Physically fit, safety-focused, and able to work outdoors in varying conditions. Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Schedule

Monday to Friday. Overtime and occasional weekends are required.

Pay: $35.00-$43.00 per hour
