The primary responsibility of the Exam Coordinator is supporting all aspects of exam facilitation, including Alberta Provincial exams, Security and entrance requirement exams. Ensuring the seamless and efficient administration of all exams, upholding the institution's academic standards and providing a supportive environment for both students and staff.
Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities (Including but not limited to the following):
Schedule and oversee the administration of Alberta Provincial exams.
Coordinate and facilitate exams for various programs
Coordinate and/or support completing entrance requirement exams.
Ensure all exams are conducted in accordance with institutional and provincial guidelines.
Recruit, train, and manage practicum students to assist in exam facilitation.
Work with the IT department to set up and maintain online exam systems.
Ensure all technical requirements for online exams are met and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Support the Strategic Academic Learning Team (SALT) in their duties to support students academically.
Assist in developing strategies and initiatives to enhance student academic performance.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Education, Administration, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in exam coordination or academic administration
Proven Project management experience
Proficiency in using exam software and online platforms, Vretta experience preferred
Skills and Competencies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with diverse student populations.
Ability to maintain relationships with external partners and ensure a positive experience for all stakeholders involved in the exam process.
Ability to adapt to new challenges and changes.
Excellent problem-solving Skills
Strong organizational and project management skills.
