We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team in a EWP Designer role focused on designing and coordinating floor and roof systems for multifamily and residential construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience using EWP software and a strong understanding of construction plans. In this role, you will work closely with engineers, architects, and various departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of designs.

Responsibilities
Read, interpret, and understand construction plans, particularly for multi-family and residential projects.
Design floor and roof systems using I-joists, beams, columns, and connectors based on architectural and engineering drawings.
Develop accurate floor layouts and generate material takeoffs using MiTek Supply Suite.
Coordinate designs and project schedules with internal departments and the fabrication shop.
Communicate effectively with engineers, architects, and contractors.
Work independently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Participate in regular company meetings to support project progress.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience using EWP design software (e.g., MiTek, Javelin, Istruct).
Experience with residential or multi-family wood construction projects.
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
Strong technical and computer skills are a significant asset.
A technical diploma in Engineering or Architectural Technology is considered an asset.
Field experience in wood framing or mid-rise construction is considered an asset.
