The Role

Our Senior Designers play a key role in designing and quoting roof truss and floor systems for custom residential, agricultural, and commercial projects. You will collaborate with clients, engineers, and internal departments to deliver smart, efficient solutions--while also mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

Designing trusses and floor systems in MiTek Creating accurate 3D models from architectural and structural blueprints Producing shop drawings and construction documentation Coordinating with clients, engineers, production, and sales teams Reviewing documents for code and structural compliance Mentoring junior designers and supporting team development Managing job data within internal systems Delivering high-quality customer service and technical support Working independently within strict deadlines and shifting priorities

What You Bring

10+ years' experience with MiTek Structure, iStruct, Javelin, or similar software Strong knowledge of the BC Building Code and wood structural systems Post-secondary education in Architecture, Engineering, Drafting, or related field (asset) Proven experience preparing cut lists, site layouts, shop drawings, and takeoffs High attention to detail, accuracy, and professional communication Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

Candidates may work fully remotely within Canada, work a hybrid schedule, or work onsite in Kamloops. Remote and hybrid employees may be required to travel to Kamloops occasionally for onboarding, training, or team meetings.
All candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
