Job Description

An Event Supervisor's primary duties involve ensuring smooth and efficient operation of banquet events, overseeing staff, and ensuring guest satisfaction. They manage event setups, supervise banquet staff, coordinate with other departments, and handle client relations. They also play a crucial role in maintaining quality standards, addressing guest concerns, and adhering to safety regulations.

Event Management:

Overseeing Event Setups:



Ensuring that banquet halls are properly set up according to event specifications, including table arrangements, linens, and decorations.

Coordination:



Working closely with event planners, catering staff, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of events.

Handling Client Relations:



Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and requests.

Managing Event Orders:



Reviewing and processing banquet event orders (BEOs).

Staff Supervision:

Staff Training and Development:



Training and mentoring banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and other support personnel.

Assigning Duties:



Assigning tasks and responsibilities to staff members, ensuring they are adequately staffed and capable of handling their duties.

Monitoring Staff Performance:



Evaluating staff performance, providing feedback, and addressing any issues or concerns.

Maintaining a Positive Team Environment:



Fostering a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and communication.

Quality and Standards:

Ensuring Guest Satisfaction:

Addressing guest complaints or concerns and ensuring that all guests have a positive experience.

Maintaining Food and Beverage Standards:

Ensuring that food and beverage service adheres to quality standards and safety regulations.

Inventory Management:

Managing inventory of food, beverages, and other banquet supplies.

Cleaning and Sanitation:

Ensuring that the banquet hall and surrounding areas are clean and sanitary.

Adhering to Safety Regulations:

Following all applicable safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications



Strong negotiation and communication skills Excellent customer service and organizational abilities Proven time management and budgeting expertise Experience in marketing and guest services Background in hospitality, with restaurant or hotel experience preferred Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
