Position Overview

The Event Security Officer is responsible to protect company assets, casino guests, and employees against theft, fraud, vandalism, and abuse while delivering the highest level of customer service and respect.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Greet guests and interact with them Promote positive customer experiences by providing prompt and courteous services Maintain a professional and positive demeanor Sell casino promotions, programs, and amenities to casino guests Control access and maintain a count of guests to the events room; scan tickets Perform identity checks to any guest who appears to be under 30 years of age Enforce restricted access by unauthorized persons Perform crowd control Respond to service calls and / or emergency calls; attend First Aid incidents Report intoxicated guests to the Casino Shift Manager or Event Manager Escort intoxicated guests off property and ensuring safe transportation to their destination Assist with removing empty or abandoned cups, bottles, and glasses Adheres to Grey Rock Entertainment Centre internal controls, policies, and procedures Other duties as required and assigned

Working Conditions

May be required to stand, sit or bend for extended periods of time Must be available to work a rotating shift support the Casino hours of operations (holidays and weekend included) Must be physically able to handle and transport materials that are over 25lbs Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Experience & Qualifications Required

6 months to 1 year demonstrated Security/Surveillance experience Education in related field of study including law enforcement would be a definite asset Current certification in first aid Trained in self-defense and diffusing difficult situations without the use of force Ability to maintain calm and perform duties under stressful conditions
