Event Sales Specialist

Job Description

Responsibilities:


Create custom quotations based on details communicated by clients, with speed and accuracy, including but not limited to; seasonal rental rates, venue appointed staffing ratios, accurate beverage services pricing Respond to event inquiries, via telephone, email correspondence or walk-in clients regarding hosting events (weddings, social and corporate clients, licensees) Achieving weekly, quarterly and annual sales targets Conduct outside sales, prospecting calls and other forms of outbound lead generation Provide support for incoming corporate/ wedding event inquiries as needed, within 24 hours by phone and email on business days Build quotes, floorplans, contracts and invoices as required Support small space reservations or leads in coordination with the Roundhouse restaurant and tap room team. Work closely with sales team to plan and execute promotional events to showcase our spaces, services and partners, targeting planners and hospitality industry professionals Conduct site visits with prospective clients during regular business hours, after hours, and on weekends as required Assist with promotional trade events both on and off site, answering venue questions and support new business development events Collect post-event feedback by phone Collect photos and relevant content to support Social Media strategy for lead generation Ensuring Caterease calendar is current (updating lead status) Working closely with team members to strengthen partnerships with vendors Recommend additional products and services to enhance the guest experience and support overall revenue goals. Communicate, all venue policies and procedures relevant to the unique aspects of each event, as outlined in the Venue Booking Contract and Venue Handbook Participate in weekly team huddles and calendar clean-up meetings Foster relationships with local venues to deepen market awareness and develop referral relationship
This is a new position, reporting to the Events Sales Manager - a hybrid role with approximately 4 days in the facility and 1 day working from home. Monday through to Friday.

Skills and Experience:

1 - 2 years' experience in an event sales role, comfortable with lead generation, negotiation and building partnerships Excellent communication skills both verbally and written Work as part of the events team, collaborating and communicating effectively with sales, coordination, operations and the rest of the Roundhouse hospitality team Must be able to quickly engage with customers to build rapport and provide exceptional customer service Confident, motivated and self-starter, able to prioritize and stay organized Hospitality degree/college is preferred Knowledge of the industry as well as key stakeholders, planners and clients
