SPONSORSHIP LEAD - CANADA WALKS FOR BLADDER CANCER
ROLE:
Your Sponsorship Lead will be responsible for approaching local businesses and securing donations of either monetary or specific items needed for your walk (i.e., food, tents, sound equipment, etc.).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meet with your committee to determine sponsorship needs.
Create a prospect list defining different businesses and companies you will approach & keep a detailed list of secured donations and sponsors.
Develop a proposal package to solicit donations for raffle & silent auction (if applicable).
Become familiar with and utilize existing sponsorship package to solicit sponsorship.
Using provided materials, reach out to all potential businesses identified in your prospects list.
Keep an accurate record of businesses approach including contact information and what was donated.
Manage relationships with BCC walk sponsors and donors within the community.
Ensure sponsors receive proper recognition as detailed in the local sponsorship package.
Ensure incentives and prizes are collected and organized prior to the event day.
Provide recognition of sponsorship pre-event and on event day as required.
Invite local sponsors and donors to the walk and ensure they are well looked after.
Send thank you cards or letters to all sponsors post event.
TIME COMMITMENT & LOCATION:
Work from home
6-month term (Walks held in September)
2-5 hours per week, volunteers to set their own schedule, with higher time commitment closer to the event
