Story Behind the Need

  • Business group: Global Event Marketing supports the execution of events and conferences for Client business lines.
  • The Event Marketing team is responsible for supporting the execution of events and conferences for Client business lines. These are highly visible events that involve clients, business partners and sometimes executives.
  • Main Responsibility: To deliver finished assets in STOVA, including registration sites, websites, surveys, event apps, marketing comms, and reporting.
Accountabilities:
  • Developing and managing online event registration, event websites, event apps and surveys.
  • Quality assuring assets for teammates before deploying.
  • Building and distributing event communications, including invites, reminders, and confirmations.
  • Ensuring data integrity within projects and while creating and delivering reports.
  • Monitoring & managing the Client Events inbox and promptly responding to inquiries.
  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and demonstrate a commitment to Client's values: accountability, passion, integrity, and respect. Delivery results in accordance with Client's behavioral competencies. Create an inclusive team culture and an environment where team members hear, share, and appreciate diverse perspectives.
  • Direct day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank's risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
  • 1-2 years of experience in supporting events and building registration activities for large organizations
  • 1-2 years of experience utilizing registration tools such as Stova, or Cvent or other Registration platforms.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
  • Knowledge in CSS and HTML, preferred.
  • Communicating in French and/or Spanish is an asset.
Soft Skills Required:
  • Good Relationship Management skills
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively convey ideas to business partners
  • Ability to learn and adapt to rapidly changing regulatory and business environments
  • Able to work independently and with other staff across functional lines within the Bank
  • An enquiring mind, excellent judgment, strategic thinking skills and attention to detail
Education:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma.
Best vs. Average Candidate
  • The best candidate is someone who has built and managed the attendee registration experience thru an online platform (Cvent, Stova, etc.) and someone who has a positive attitude and demonstrates a willingness to quickly learn and adapt to new software and technologies.
Candidate Review & Selection
  • 2 Rounds:
o 1st round - 2 Hiring managers - 30 mins - MS Teams Video - The first 10 mins is for Introduction, role overview, and what they are looking for. The rest of the interview they will review candidates experience and knowledge based questions.
o 2nd round - 2 Hiring Managers, Director and team lead - 30 mins - Ms Teams Video - Ensure the right candidate is selected and fits the team culture.
