The fourth activity stream is park care and facility maintenance. The Event Manager, Film Operations will work under the direction of the Director, Operations and will be a key member of the PNE\xe2\x80\x99s Year-Round Operations team. The Event Manager, Film Operations will work closely with other operational managers as well as our Sales & Marketing team to develop and maintain film service business at the PNE. They will support all film clients on site and work closely with internal departments to ensure all deliverables are met throughout shoot operations. Why* join our Team?*

What* will you DO this year?*
  • In your role as Event Manager, Film Operations*, your primary responsibilities will be to:
  • Work directly with the Sales Department to schedule and facilitate Tech Surveys on site to determine film client needs
  • Work with the other operational departments to quote, execute and invoice services provided to the client
  • Identify and execute client parking plans and manage parking calendar with conflicting priorities on site
  • Communicate the needs of the film client to all PNE Stakeholders via internal memos and documentation.
  • Develop and actively manage positive relationships with Film Managers, Locations Managers and other PNE stakeholders
  • Act as the venue representative on Film Move In, Prep and Shoot days by managing client request and troubleshooting operational issues
  • Coordinate film operational requirements with internal departments including Public Safety and Facilities & Maintenance
  • Ensure adherence to PNE policies and procedures with respect to health and safety, staffing rules as outlined by union agreements, venue management, and labour management
  • Ensure venues are prepared in accordance to contract requirements and client expectations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What* else?
  • A post-secondary diploma in Film Services, Event Management, or related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the Project Management, Film Services and/or Event Management industry.
  • Must have knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with various computer applications particularly Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, data processing and budget tracking, purchasing and work order creation.
  • Must possess strong planning, organization, analytical, and administrative skills.
  • Must have strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Previous experience leading unionized staff considered an asset.
  • Previous experience working with Film Managers, Location Managers and/or Directors is considered an asset.
  • Must be available to work weekends and evenings for film shoots/events.
