Evening Services Attendant/Dining Room Server

JOB DESCRIPTION

DINING ROOM SUPERVISOR

Job Purpose

The Evening Attendant/Server is responsible for providing high-quality meal service to residents and guests. This role ensures a positive dining experience by delivering excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with meal preparation as needed. An effective Server has strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This person ensures residents feel welcomed and well cared for during meal service. The service hours are 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

After dining room service, the Evening Attendant will carry out cleaning tasks and respond to pendant alarms until the close of shift. This shift is unsupervised from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Duties and Responsibilities

? Greet residents and guests in a friendly and professional manner

? Present menu options, take orders, and serve meals

? Set, clear, and reset tables for efficient meal service

? Ensure cleanliness and organization of dining areas

? Build rapport with residents and anticipate their needs

? Follow company standards for food handling and service

? Work collaboratively with kitchen and dining staff

? Respond to pendant alarms

? Maintain a positive and respectful work environment

? Perform additional duties as required including laundering of uniforms & rags

Key Qualifications

? High school diploma or at least one year of related experience

? Smart Serve certification (an asset)

? Ability to communicate clearly with managers, staff, residents, and guests

? Clear city, provincial, or out-of-province criminal record check for the vulnerable sector

? Current First Aid/CPR certification (an asset)

? Food safety certification an asset

Working Conditions

? Schedule is typically 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Week day and Weekend on rotation.

? Interaction with residents, guests, and team members on a daily basis

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.25-$19.00 per hour
