The Logistics Manager is responsible for leading the logistics team in the growth of current relationships, both customer and carrier. Exploring new business opportunities and expanding our carrier capacity. Working with our carriers to bridge the capacity gaps with internal Eassons accounts, by being active in both operations and sales of the Eassons group of companies. We are looking for a leader who will bring a motivation to expand the Eassons Group into new markets, setting the stage for asset expansion. - 3-5 direct reports.
- Lead the brokerage team day to day activities.
- Sales sourcing and closing.
- Build on carrier relations, rating, tendering.
- Manage ETL budget, reporting to Operations Manager on any seasonal swings.
- Bridge the customer needs gap between Sales and Operations. Covering any overflow with ETL Team.
- Explore new markets, laying the groundwork for future asset growth.
- 5 years transport/logistics experience in a leadership position.
- Computer skills related to truckmate an asset.
- Ability to lead others in a common direction.
- Strong sales/customer service skills, ability to quickly build relationships.
- The ability to remain focused, employing critical thinking in fast paced high pressure situations.
- Capacity to multi-task with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong time management skills.
- French not required
