Estimator/Quotation Specialist - Plumbing Department

We are one of the largest independent contractors of Plumbing and HVAC services in Alberta and have been in the industry for more than 65 years. Our main business is the construction of new housing.

We are fast-growing company, and we are currently looking for an estimator/quotation specialist in our plumbing division.

Duties

Receive and process quotation requests from home builders

Review provided paperwork and specifications including material lists, plans, and drawings to ensure accurate information

Work from templates to create quotes, extras, and change orders in our ERP system

Compare quote to builder PO and process change requests if necessary

Confirm current pricing of uncommon items with vendors to ensure quote is accurate

Assist with creating bids and proposals for tenders

Assist with annual repricing of project templates

Preparing work orders and project packages for field staff including job clarifications and field blueprints

Coordinating with procurement to ensure all materials are available according to schedule

Updating job status in tracking worksheets

Act as a backup for customer showroom appointments

Competencies/Skills:

Experience with construction quoting or estimation is a plus

Familiar with quotes and projects in ERP systems and experience with Acumatica would be an asset

Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities

Excellent professional communication skills

Ability to work in a team is essential

Knowledge of construction materials and processes, specifically in plumbing, would be an asset

High level of written and spoken proficiency in English is required

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
