You are the Right Person if you have: \xc2\xb7 Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office tools Proficiency in Adobe Creative suite knowledge will be considered an asset. \xc2\xb7 Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications. \xc2\xb7 Previous experience leading an Estimating department. \xc2\xb7 Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment \xc2\xb7 Positive attitude with Strong collaboration skills \xc2\xb7 3-5 years relevant experience including involvement in the proposal process. \xc2\xb7 Comprehensive knowledge of the estimating process \xc2\xb7 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in electrical engineering, or any equivalent studies/experience combination The Opportunity As an Estimator/Proposal Writer your job will be to work with the operations team (PMO and Design) to execute a variety of tasks and projects that are integral to the organization. You will be accountable for managing your day-to-day workload and the execution of your tasks and projects. You will be responsible for coordinating with each department in the organization as it relates to obtaining information (cost, schedule, etc.) for proposal requirements. You will report directly to the Chief Business Officer. Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Conducts detailed analysis of contract documents and specifications to determine overall project requirements. \xc2\xb7 Develop, project estimates/schedules and production of proposals. \xc2\xb7 Manage the proposal writing process and coordinate the preparation of all documents and components required as part of the bid process. \xc2\xb7 Manage all aspects of the bidding process, evaluate estimates for potential risks, finalize and compile documents for review and submission. \xc2\xb7 Analyze, plan, and develop responses to RFPs, RFQs etc. \xc2\xb7 Attend and participate in site visits/meetings. \xc2\xb7 Assist in the preparation of proposals including the researching, compiling, and summarizing of data in accordance with the established procedures. \xc2\xb7 Assist in the compilation of information from all disciplines into one cost estimate. \xc2\xb7 Work closely with other project stakeholders to ensure the quality, consistency, and integrity of all deliverables. \xc2\xb7 Support and collaborate with other members of the project team in the development of cost estimates and project schedules. \xc2\xb7 Review and understand design specifications to determine scope of work. \xc2\xb7 Writing, editing and proof-reading proposals to ensure they align with DPM guidelines, policies and standards. \xc2\xb7 Identify/escalate any issues that may impact the proposals schedule or quality. \xc2\xb7 Ensure estimates align with execution and cost management requirements. \xc2\xb7 Manage proposal/bid deadlines.
