We are a small

custom metal fabricator

- projects range from high-end residential to commercial installations. We are looking for a motivated

Estimator/Project Coordinator

to join our team.

Role Overview

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both the

technical

and

client-facing

sides of fabrication work.
You'll be responsible for reviewing drawings, preparing quotes, meeting clients, and following projects from inquiry to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Review client drawings and inquiries to prepare accurate

estimates and quotes

Read and interpret

architectural and mechanical drawings

(DWG, PDF, etc.) Conduct

site visits

for measurement, verification, and client coordination Communicate with clients to understand needs and provide technical guidance

Prepare and send quotes

, follow up with clients, and help secure sales Create

technical drawings

and fabrication details using

SolidWorks or other CAD software

when required Coordinate with internal teams (design, fabrication, installation) to ensure smooth workflow Track project progress and maintain clear communication with clients throughout Provide

on-site support

during installation when necessary

Qualifications

Strong understanding of

metal fabrication

or

mechanical processes

Proficiency in

SolidWorks

(or similar CAD software)

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) or equivalent

Ability to read

architectural and mechanical drawings

confidently Excellent

communication and organizational

skills Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects at once Comfortable conducting

site measurements

and client meetings Self-motivated and goal-driven -- able to follow up on quotes and close sales A

background in mechanics or fabrication

is an asset Valid Ontario driver's license and ability to travel locally for site visits
